Sports Week 2022

School sport should be an important part of every child’s education and development. There is so much that children can gain from school sport. The focus of the week is to encourage participation in PE and sport across the School. The week has been designed to be fun, exciting, challenging and rewarding with elements of cooperative and competitive play.

The week started off with an opening ceremony and a visit from Reuben Arthur a relay gold medallist at the 2018
Commonwealth Games who delivered PE lessons and an assembly. During the rest of the week children spent time at
the field completing different activities to try and score as many points as they could for their countries by competing in a Commonwealth Games Tournament.

To finish the week on Friday all children participated in Sports Day at the School field with parents spectating.
