Rotary Club of Chatham Funds 10 New Laptops

The Rotary Club of Chatham have provided the funds for Phoenix Primary School (Fort Pitt Thomas Aveling Academies) to purchase 10 laptop computers for the students to use during the pandemic and in the future.
Rotary members throughout the world take action to make communities better. They contribute their time, energy, and passion to carry out meaningful and sustainable projects that promote peace, eradicate polio, working with carers in the community, support education, and grow local economies.

Mr Mark Bucknall, President of Rotary Club of Chatham said “Our members are very happy for the children to benefit from their fund-raising efforts. Helping to educate students in these difficult times during the pandemic.”

The school team at Phoenix work hard to ensure that every child enjoys their time at the school and leaves Phoenix Primary ready to start a new chapter in their lives. While attending Phoenix Primary, the children are encouraged to be independent, to persevere, be honest and caring, whilst feeling safe and valued. If the children work hard, they will be able to achieve their very best, becoming positive and successful learners who are ready to face the world equipped with skills they can use for the rest of their life.

Mr Pete Sears, Headteacher of Phoenix Primary School said “we are very grateful to the Rotary Club of Chatham for their kind donation of 10 laptops. These devices will prove vital to the future learning of some of our most vulnerable learners.”

Thank you to the Rotary Club Chatham
